What is the Power UP Summit
Learn what the power sector is really like
The API Power Up Summit is a three-day online event designed for undergraduate students who are interested in careers in the power and energy sector.
​
Across three practical webinar sessions, students will hear from industry professionals, API alumni, scholarship recipients, vacation placement students, emerging leaders and career pathway experts. Each day has been designed to support students at different stages of their university and career journey, from understanding the industry, through to preparing for placements and graduate opportunities, and building the confidence to take the next step.

This year, the summit will focus on three key themes:
Day 1: Power Sector 101
​Day 1 will introduce students to the power sector, including the National Electricity Market and Western Electricity Market, and help unpack the many different career pathways available across the industry.
Day 2: Getting Ready for Opportunity
Day 2 is focused on practical preparation. Students will learn more about API resources, the Power Up community, scholarships, career resources and how to make the most of the opportunities available through API.
Day 3: From Student to Professional
Day 3 is all about helping students step into their future career with confidence. Sessions will explore personal leadership, conference experiences, ongoing learning and the importance of professional networks.
Who is the Summit for?
The Power Up Summit is designed for undergraduate students who are curious about careers in power and energy, including students who are:
