1 OCTOBER 2018
WA UNIVERSITIES ELECTRIC ENERGY POSTER PROJECT COMPETITION
INVITATION TO ENGINEERS, POWER UTILITIES AND INDUSTRY.
The Western Australia Chapter of the Electric Energy Society of Australia (EESA) and Engineers Australia (EA) is launching a poster presentation prize (sponsored by The Australian Power Institute) competition for Power Engineering students enrolled in a Western Australian University offering degree program that enables student to meet the stage 1 competency of Engineers Australia.
Every year many innovative projects are completed at the WA Universities in the field of Electrical Energy Systems. The EESA poster prize competition is aimed at bringing graduating students and potential colleagues and employers together in experiencing first hand some of the excellent work carried out by the student engineers.
Students will have the opportunity to show case/demonstrate their work and the industry attendees will have the opportunity to experience the quality of the student’s work and engage in conversation with them in an informal way. We believe however that this dialogue will continue to eventually lead to mutually beneficial enterprises including potential employment, further research to potential patents, and at the very least, a wonderful networking opportunity.
Graduating students from The University of Western Australia, Curtin University, Murdoch University and Edith Cowan University will be participating.
Significant opportunities are available that will allow your organization to meet and talk with the students and support the event, whilst raising the profile and capacity of your company with the interest groups that really matters. Members from the Electric energy industry professionals, consultants, government, and academia are all expected to attend the event.
This is a unique opportunity for practicing engineers and Industry to showcase your strength to your current and future pool of colleagues, employees and stakeholders.
Entry is free and refreshments are available.
