During my placement, I assessed the connection of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to the grid, ensuring compliance with the National Electricity Rules (NER). I conducted generator performance studies using PSS®E and PSCAD, analyzing fault levels and dynamic response. My work involved simulating various operating conditions, troubleshooting unexpected results, and structuring findings into visual and Excel-based outputs.
