WORKING WITH CHILDREN
The API prides itself on working towards being a Child Safe Organisation. A child safe organisation puts the best interests of children and young people first.
What is a Child Safe Organisation?

As a Child Safe Organisation, the Australian Power Institute would like you to:
-
Create an environment where children’s safety and wellbeing is at the centre of thought, values and actions.
-
Place emphasis on genuine engagement with children and young people.
-
Respond to any concerns, disclosures, allegations or suspicions of harm by contacting the school you are at first and foremost, then advising the API of the incident
